Product Description

The LM311P is a voltage comparator in 8 pin DIP package. It is designed to operate over a wide range of supply voltages from standard ±15V op amp supplies down to single 5V supply used for IC logic. The output of comparator is compatible with RTL, DTL and TTL as well as MOS circuits. The LM311P drives lamps or relays, switching voltages up to 50V at currents as high as 50mA. Both inputs and outputs of LM311P can be isolated from system ground and output can drive loads referred to ground. Offset balancing and strobe capability are provided and outputs can be wired. The device is less prone to spurious oscillations.

Maximum input current is 150nA over temperature
Maximum offset current is 20nA over temperature
Differential input voltage range of ±30V
Power consumption of 135mW at ±15V
Operating temperature range 0°C to 70°C
Response time is 200ns

This device has limited built-in ESD protection. The leads should be shorted together or device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates.
