Product Description

The MAX3243CPW is a RS-232 multichannel Line Driver/Receiver with ±15kV ESD (HBM) protection pin-to-pin (serial-port connection pins, including GND). Flexible power features saves power automatically. Special outputs ROUT2B and INVALID are always enabled to allow checking for ring indicator and valid RS-232 input.

Operates up to 250kbps
4 x 0.1µF External capacitors
Always-active non-inverting receiver output (ROUT2B)
Serial-mouse driveability
Auto-power-down feature to disable driver outputs when no valid RS-232 signal is sensed
