Product Description

The P6SMB56A from Littelfuse is a 600W, unidirectional transient voltage suppressor in DO-214AA package. It features excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, low profile package, built-in strain relief and fast response time. The P6SMB series is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is ideal for the protection of I/O Interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits.
Reverse standoff voltage VR is 47.8V
Breakdown voltage VBR is 53.2V minimum and 58.8V maximum at 1mA
Maximum reverse leakage is 1µA
Maximum clamping voltage VC is 77V
Maximum peak pulse current is 7.9A
Power dissipation on infinite heat sink at TL=50°C is 5W
Peak forward surge current IFSM is 100A
