Product Description

The ADS1148EVM is an evaluation module for ADS1148, a 16bit, multi channel, delta sigma analog to digital converter. The ADS1148 features an on board, low noise, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), a precision delta sigma ADC with a single cycle settling digital filter and an internal oscillator. The ADS1148 also provide a built in voltage reference with 10mA output capacity and two matched programmable current digital to analog converters (DACs). The ADS1148 provide a complete front end solution for temperature sensor applications including thermal couples, thermistors and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs). The modular evaluation module uses the ADS1148 and minimal circuitry to demonstrate functionality for prototyping and part evaluation. The pins of the ADS1148 are accessible through various connections on the ADS1148EVM connectors. The evaluation module can be plugged into suitable motherboards such as the ADS1148EVM-PDK to work directly with any personal computer.
